Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice. The term yoga nidra can mean Sleep of the Yogis, or Yogic Sleep or
Yoga of Consciousness.
It is a deep meditation & relaxation practice which promotes a sense of wellbeing, peace & wholeness.
It’s the perfect practice for those of us who find traditional seated meditation or mindfulness practices difficult or even impossible. Yoga Nidra is the gateway to a deeper connection with our sense of consciousness.
People often experience a sense of being elsewhere, being present but not present or just being deeply relaxed. You rest in the state of consciousness between wakefulness & sleep where the mind is quiet & still.
This practice adapts to your requirements each time you practice it. If you are tired you may fall asleep, if you are struggling with a creative process you may find the inspiration you need.
These practices below have been recorded in my classes in a real-life set-up, not in a studio. They are not perfect, sterile productions but full of the heart & intention of a true yoga nidra practice. Therefore there will be sounds of my students moving & maybe even snoring!
